Have I mentioned my love of pointy-toed pumps before? I think maybe here, at least. And I know I posted about this gorgeousness before:
They came home in September and are a great addition to the wardrobe. :)
I have always loved what I consider the the most classic of classic shoes - the pointy toed pump. And while not quite as popular as they were a few years ago, before the "stripper-shoe-obsession" took over, they seem to slowly be creeping back into fashion.
I already own a few pairs:
these are Nine West, from several years ago. They were bought specifically because I happened to be at a Macy's with my husband, and these caught my eye. I tried them on and my husband said, "Those are sexy shoes". So of course they came home with me! Totally unnecessary but utterly fantastic. And pretty comfortable despite the 4" heel.
I also have these:
These are Bandolino, which I don't usually wear. Typically I find their shoes a little on the frumpy side. But these...these are awesome. Animal hair d'orsay slingbacks with a moderate (3.75") heel. I mean, c'mon...who would not want to wear them?? :) They're just about ten years old. And they never fail to get compliments. AND they are super-comfortable.
But otherwise I don't have that many pointy-toed shoes. Round toes were very "in" for a few years, and then it seems that everything now has to have a 1"+ platform and and a five- or six-inch heel. And there's only so much of that craziness that I will bother with. :)
So when I had a bit of downtime recently after my surgery, I was quite excited to find these:
It's a tiny photo because for some reason DSW won't let me do a photo capture...but these are a lovely deep blue pattern. Here's the link, if you want to see a close up: DSW . They could be fabulous or terrible - it's hard to say ahead of time with Bandolino shoes - but they probably will arrive mid-week so I'll be sure to let you know. And the price was a fantastic steal, so I'm hoping they'll be keepers. :)
And then I found these:
And I just "had" to have them. As far as I can tell, they're exactly the same as the blue suedes I posted above, so I'm hoping they'll be just as comfortable. They're also available in a darker pony-hair print:
But I don't think I'd love it quite as much. I really like the lighter print, which I found at Lori's Shoes, by the way. I haven't seen that particular coloring anywhere else. And the price is exceptional, so here's the link in case you want to order: Loris's Shoes
So...a little early (though really not too early!) holiday gift to myself. It's been a tough year and I suspect these will make walking into 2012 just a little bit easier. :)
